“Creativity is my forte, from spaces, to music, to writing and to art and ultimately to nurture and shape the careers of young enthusiastic aspiring Designers is my passion.”
After a long stint in the corporate world, I completed a Diploma in Interior Design and Display and a Masters Diploma in Computer Aided Design which became my passion. My creative skills in the Design Field have been honed while teaching Interior Design and Computer Aided Design from 2007 –till date as a visiting faculty in various institutes and universities. I had also been taking classes for MBA in Design Management (subjects were Mall Management and Multiplex Management) for iNIFD, Hauz Khas till Dec 2014.
I have also taken workshops for DMRC & BHEL First Year Engineers, in CAD & CAM working & applications while I was a Faculty with CADD Centre, Hauz Khas.
As a faculty in CADD Centre, I taught Interior Architecture & Design and
also Computer Aided Design to Students of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, & Architecture and
Interior Design apart from other engineering students.
While teaching Design, I also took up various workshops with students like ‘Photography And Photography Competitions’, ‘Calendar Making Competition’, ‘Furniture Design’ etc. Our students also won prizes in Design competitions held by various agencies. ‘Waste To Wonder’ competitions were also held and encouraged among students.
In December 2010, I had an opportunity to be invited by the French Government for a visit to various Design Colleges in Paris and its suburbs through iNIFD where I had an experience of visiting the Best Institutes and interacting with the students there. It was a part of exchange programs of the French and Indian Governments in Dec, 2010.
I also visited the London Design Festival, September 2019 and gathered valuable insight in the International Design Field.
I am a well-travelled person internationally and any place I visit, I make it a point to gain insights in the Local Art, Architecture & Design Culture.
Locally, I am also a Heritage Tour Guide for school & college students and also take care of small private groups. (#NEP2020 stresses on the fact that school students should be aware and proud of their local history of art, craft and architecture.)
Additionally, I privately coach and mentor ‘aspiring students’ in Architecture & Design careers for Architecture & Design Entrance exams and also help them to create portfolios for study in India and Abroad.
SOPs and LORs are a part of the study abroad portfolio and I help my students prepare them. I also help students of Fine Arts to
create and curate their school submission portfolios. My students studying
abroad and in India make me proud with their achievements.
From the past four years, I am also involved in taking various workshops for school outreach programs on behalf of universities and institutes.
I am also empanelled as
jury member for admission interviews and counsel students for careers in the
creative field of various institutes as and when invited by them.
I am open to work as Guest Lecturer, Workshop Expert and Creative Career Counsellor or any other suitable role offered by the University / Institute. Connect with me @9818541252 / Email: icreativesciences@gmail.com
