Photographer Krishna Chakraborty in an interview with Jaya
Ray , Anindita Roy and Amit Banerjee.
A
mesmerising capture of Maa Durga in sepia tones with a burst of colour from the
image of a devotee dancing with stunning grace in front of Maa Durga, is what
Krishna creates as a masterpiece through his lenses.
Introducing
Krishna Chakraborty, one of the finest and startlingly creative photographers
whose work speaks by itself. Without much synthesis of the captures (a rarity
in today’s times), he brings forth a brilliant canvas of his creations through
his lenses.
A
2012 pass out from Vinay Nagar Bengali School and then armed with a graduation
from Delhi University and MAC Academy, he started his journey in photography.
Mostly self-taught, his ticket to fame
was when he started with dance photography which not many photographers delve
in, being the youngest photographer to foray into that genre.
His
photography has been featured in few national exhibitions already and he has
covered several large dance festivals which shows to augment his portfolio.
His
father is a scholar of Sanskrit and mother is an inspiring homemaker. Krishna’s
idol being his father, he has gone in his father’s footsteps to conduct Durga
Puja rituals. He loves playing the dhaak( the traditional Bengali Dhol) and
dancing to its pulsating beats during the celebrations.
His
future plans are to take his work on an international platform and inspire
other budding and aspiring photographers to follow their own unique dreams and
create their own niche and creative genre.
